Samsung i5700 (Galaxy SPICA) Android (firmware version 2.1) Flashing Guide

Firmware: I570EDDJB2

Unreleased (leaked) firmware with firmware version 2.1

Before you start flashing:

- backup your data

- Check your simlock: SIM Lock is [OFF] - Dial *#7465625# to check. If it is not OFF, remove simlock before flashing (unlock you phone)

- enter "2767*3855#

- Fully charge your battery

- Exit samsung pc studio software

- Remove SIM and microSD card


Flashing

1. put i5700 into download mode by holding "volume down + camera key + power on" at the same time:

2. connect phone with PC via USB cable, it will ask for drivers, needed drivers are in package which you can download from link above. Install them. Open you device manager to check if your drivers are installed corectly, it should be like this:



3. Select options and image files as shown on picture below:




NOTE: Please select options and image files exactly as shown on pitcture.

NOTE1: If you want to flash CSC file too contact me i will show you how, it is required to change spica.ops file.


4. Press START button. DO NOT DISCONECT MOBILE FROM PC UNTIL IT IS SHOWN "PASS", AS ON PICTURE ABOVE.


5. Flashing should be finished in 3 minutes max.




Issues :


Google Maps seems to be a bit temperamental (Upgraded to ver 4.0.0 from the new 2.1 Market). Phone has hung a couple of times but nothing really serious.
